This picture was posted to one of the Peugeot groups on Facebook by a random French car fan I don’t know. That’s my Citroën LNA on a truck headed to Massachusetts where it’ll get put on a transporter that’ll bring it to me here in L.A. They spotted it on I95 this morning which is pretty cool. It’s always fun to see a picture of your car taken by someone else. I bought that car almost a year ago and it’s been an interesting adventure getting it registered and then shipped. (It went from France to Connecticut because I would never get it registered in California.)
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I’ll do a Part II to that post when it arrives to detail everything I went through for the curious.

... that better be legitimately true, because I have a feeling everyone is going to be taking pictures of mine.

Your what?

But can I charge for ‘em? Because driveline repairs are ohgodexpensive .

The pics? I would if that were my car.

The car was actually in Connecticut. I’m in Southern California.

well i guess i s hould read things a little better.

So in the end it has been on the back of 3 different trucks? As it was on a single transporter first?
Is it there already?
![]() 09/03/2018 at 23:06 |

No, the flatbed was from the brakes were frozen. 2 trucks to get to California. It got here so fast, they must have come straight to Glendale. I imagine once they saw how epic a car it is, they knew it needed special attention.

And the extreme lightness made them be able to travel at amazingly high average speeds of course! I’m glad you’re reunited!

I drove it to work today and, funny enough, ran into the guy who owns that Fulvia we saw at the cars & coffee. And he recognized the LNA from Instagram. He runs that shop down the road where he has that orange Lada and works on all those Porsches , so he’s one of us . I’m going to have him do the wheel bearings.

Haha, did you recognize him? Awesome. You mean that shop you posted from on IG this morning/evening ? Can he do the bearings within 10 minutes?
![]() 09/05/2018 at 22:45 |

I saw the Fulvia parked on the street and he was standing in front of the shop and saw the LNA and waved. I hope he takes more than 10 minutes. That’s just my limit. I expect those who work for me to go the distance.

“He”? Koko you mean! What a guy . He changes timing belts within 10 minutes. Going the distance.

Yep, that’s Koko. How do you know him? Heck of a guy. He’s going to let me drive the Lancia and the Lada next week when I bring in the LNA. And he figured out why the brakes were still sometimes dragging. Turns out that brake light switch was a little too long. So we adjusted it.

I didn’t, just spoke with him on the La Canada Flintridge C&C, remember? Good to hear he’s truly a mechanic God. Jealous of you for that Lancia drive!!!!!

Oh, right. I did forget you talked to him. It seems like he’ll work on anything. He’s got all sorts of cars at his place. That Lotus, a big Healey, a G Wagon. He was excited about the LNA. He took it for a drive and was pretty entertained. I think I’m going to take it up there tomorrow if I wake up.

Maybe I’ll put him on this week. Haven’t got a theme for this week anyway. You bringing the LNa there is a good reason. Let me know if it’s ready. Of course he’s excited about the LNa, he loves cars right?

He definitely loves cars. I wonder how many he has. I think the Lancia is just his latest acquisition. He also own s that Peugeot 504 coupe I posted once.

Oh I love those Pininfarina coupés ... Ran into one yesterday:
Koko definitely is a guy we’ll have to visit my next LA tour!

They’re so cool. I don’t know why we didn’t get them. I have seen Koko driving his which is always a thrill.
Yeah, he’ll probably let you drive some stuff . He seems to like anyone who likes cars.

Koko has the pre-facelift with the separated taillights right? Did you end up driving the Lada?
![]() 09/12/2018 at 22:12 |
|
Unfortunately, he doesn’t.
No, he’s in process of replacing the Lada’s parking brake. And the Lancia was at his other shop which I didn’t know he had. Maybe tomorrow when I pick up the LNA. I just re al ized the Citroën Rendezvous this weekend is the same day as the Japanese Classic Car Show. Bummer.

Unfortunately? The post-facelift is gorgeous! Just not sure on the white here...
DUDE!

But, those triple taillights are the bomb.
Yeah. T he LNA wasn’t ready until Saturday, so I went to see the cars of the Far East instead of Western Europe. The France and Italy show is in November, so we’ll get to mingle with French friends then.
![]() 09/17/2018 at 10:46 |

They are, yet the post facelift looks as if it can travel at speeds over 250 km/h. The prefacelift will break down at those speeds. To me it looks like that, that is.
Can’t wait. But aren’t you in Europe for November?

The post facelift is too Mustang-y. The pre looks like a proper Pininfarina designed Peugeot.
The show is the 4th and the Centennial is the 11th, so I’ll be able to do both .
![]() 09/19/2018 at 03:45 |

I though that your latest Mustang experience would have convinced you not to fear that dark side anymore. A 504 coupe with a Coyote V8 would be amazing!

I wouldn’t mind if someone ruined a post facelift one for that swap. That would be a fun car. The noise would get people scratching their heads.

I wouldn’t mind if anyone ruined a pre facelift for that swap either. They’re not that rare. 3-speed manual. For luxury.
Can’t reply on all kinja stuff. What’s happening???

Handy on the strip, too.
I know. It’s doing that thing again where you have to go back to the respective post’s main page. It won’t let you comment after clicking the link in notifications. What a pain. How does this keep happening? Shouldn’t they have just fixed it where it won’t happen again? Isn’t that what fixing means? Why us, God?
